Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how Raku AI, operated by Halil İbrahim Keskin, processes personal information when you use the app, website, and related services.

1. Information we process

account information: name, email address, password hash, user ID, account status, and session records
authentication information: email verification status, Firebase user ID, optional Google or Apple provider information, and recovery-email status
profile and preference information: profile image, language, theme, notification choices, and app settings
learning content: question images and text, follow-up messages, generated answers and videos, Library records, topic labels, study sessions, reports, and progress
purchase information: store transaction and product identifiers, subscription state, credits, refunds, revocations, and chargebacks
technical information: app and device characteristics, notification tokens, feature interactions, processing times, diagnostics, security events, and error logs
support information: messages, contact details, and attachments you send to support

2. Why we process information

create, authenticate, secure, and recover accounts
provide question solving, follow-up chat, video explanations, Library, and study features
manage subscriptions, credits, refunds, and fraud prevention
deliver requested notifications and transactional email
diagnose errors, protect the service, measure performance, and improve product quality
respond to support requests and meet legal obligations

3. AI processing

To generate a solution, follow-up response, or video explanation, relevant question images or text, instructions, conversation context, and user-provided resources may be processed by AI and video service providers. Crop uploads to the question area and avoid names, faces, student numbers, contact details, or other unnecessary personal information.

4. Service providers and stores

We limit provider access to information reasonably needed for the relevant service. Provider categories include:

Firebase Authentication and optional Google or Apple sign-in
AI question-solving, follow-up, and video-generation providers
hosting, database, media storage, queue, security, and diagnostic providers
email and push-notification providers
Google Play, Apple App Store, and subscription/revenue-management providers
public authorities where disclosure is legally required

5. International processing

Some providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use an applicable legal transfer mechanism and contractual or organizational safeguards.

6. Retention and account deletion

Information is retained for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, manage purchases and disputes, and meet legal obligations. The current account-deletion flow, including information that may remain in pseudonymous or legally required records, is described on the Account and Data Deletion page.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection, and may withdraw consent for optional processing based on consent. Requests can be sent to [email protected]. We may verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Age

Raku AI is intended for users aged 13 and over. Children under 13 must not create an account. Users below the applicable age of digital consent should use the service with parent or guardian involvement as required by local law.

9. Website and waitlist

When you join the waitlist, we process your email address, exam or study goal, grade or study level, contact preference, signup source, signup time and IP address. We use these details to manage early-access invitations, contact you about your invitation and prevent misuse of the form.

To withdraw your invitation-email preference or leave the list, email [email protected]. Records are retained for the invitation process and any applicable legal obligations.

On the entry page, the hosting provider's country estimate from your IP address is used to select an initial language. Your choice in the language selector is remembered in a raku_locale preference cookie for one year. This cookie is not used for advertising and can be removed in your browser settings.

Some retained product, purchase and security records may use a pseudonymous internal identifier. Pseudonymous records are not the same as irreversibly anonymised data and remain subject to applicable personal-data protections.

10. Security, updates, and contact

We use access controls, authentication safeguards, and encryption in transit appropriate to the service. No system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this Policy when the service or law changes and will communicate material changes through an appropriate channel.
